What is the High Country Pet Fest?

The 3rd Annual High Country Pet Fest is a community-wide event to celebrate dogs and the families who love them. The Banner Elk TDA, The Avery County Chamber of Commerce and My Best Friend’s Barkery proudly host the festival with proceeds from this event to benefit local animal-related charities.  This year’s High Country Pet Fest 2014 will incorporate lively entertainment and educational opportunities for pet owners. Planned exhibitions include dock diving dogs, Swift Paws lure coursing, working dogs including the Avery County K9 unit and a Search and Rescue team, educational seminars by local veterinarians and other local pet professionals, the Blessing of the Dogs and a concert by one of our local favorite bands, The Whip Daddy’s with Madd Dog. We will also have the very exciting High Country Dog Show, and a variety of vendors! The event will take place on July 25-27th at the Historic Banner Elk Elementary School grounds.

 

Mission, Objective and Benefit

The High Country Pet Fest team is dedicated to supporting local animal-related charities. Beneficiaries have included the Avery Country Humane Society, Second Chance Dogs of Ashe County, Partners Canine, and Avery County High School Key Club.

This year’s High Country Pet Fest is sure to be even bigger and better than ever. The community has embraced The High Country Pet Fest with a tremendous amount of support and enthusiasm, as the only festival of it’s kind in the mountains of North Carolina. The event, The High Country Pet Fest, has garnered local media exposure through print ads, targeted online ads, our unique High Country Pet Fest website, social media, radio and billboard marketing outreach. 

Partnership sponsors are an important component of this success of this event. Leaders of the Pack ($1000 or more)

  • A double booth space at the festival with preferred positioning
  • Regular announcements over the PA system highlighting the sponsor’s generous support
  • Opportunity to address the crowd during one of the contests
  • Name and logo on promotional materials including:

    • Sponsors page of festival website (www.highcountrypetfest.com) with preferred positioning
    • Banner with name and/or logo displayed on the Dock Dogs arena

Purrs, Paws & Whiskers ($500-$999)

  • A single booth space at the festival

Litter-Mates ($100-$499)

  • Sponsorship of a selected educational session or demonstration event, including name and/or logo placement

    • Will display information of your company at Pet Fest information booth
